The shapes, the lines, the road qualities, the racing DNA are the elements that made the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider a perfect expression of “emotional mechanics” – a heartfelt tribute to one of the most legendary models in the history of the Alfa Romeo: the 33 Stradale. The end-of-series model 4C Spider was bold and efficient thanks to the use of ultralight materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium, and composite parts. Its design united excellent agility with the performance of a supercar. The 4C Spider's weight was, in fact, less than 1.000kg, featuring a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio. Its cloth roof guaranteed maximum lightness while ensuring adequate protection. Its suspension featured techniques inherited from the racing world, such as the brake system with self-ventilating discs and tyres with a differentiated diameter. The beating heart of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider was a 1.75-litre turbo petrol engine with direct injection, which delivered up to 240 HP. Its performance was the result of a highly evolved transmission system: the 6-speed “Alfa TCT” gearbox that combined the immediacy of a sequential transmission with the comfort of an automatic transmission.
